Offensive VS Defensive Aggression

When a dog shows aggression, knowing why will go a long way towards helping them.

A dog who is being offensively aggressive may be guarding a person or territory. Their behaviour can be described as confident or aroused. He could pose a definite threat to anyone near.

A dog behaving defensively is frightened. Do not approach him or make him feel trapped.
